How To Apply For JAMB Direct Entry 2026

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announced on Monday, March 2, the start of the registration process for 2026 Direct Entry admissions to postsecondary institutions across the country.

According to the board, the sale of Direct Entry application paperwork has begun nationally.

The board urged qualified candidates to begin their registration process as soon as possible and to rigorously follow the established standards.

It further disclosed that the registration exercise is scheduled to run for several weeks, after which the portal will be closed in preparation for the next phase of the admission process.

However, direct entry is designed for candidates who possess advanced qualifications such as diplomas, NCE, IJMB, or equivalent certificates and wish to secure admission directly into the second year of university programs without sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
