Benjamin Fredrick has been receiving accolades and applause from football enthusiasts, particularly Nigerian sports giants.
The Super Eagles teenage sensation, Frederick, attracted the admiration of Nigerians after his striking and excellent performance against Gabon, which put his name on the lips of everyone.
The 19-year-old center-back performed brilliantly after delivering what many sports analysts termed a flawless defensive masterclass against Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabon’s top strikers in Nigeria’s 4–1 extra-time victory in Rabat.
The young player, who has his sixth appearance for the Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs semi-final tie, formed a solid partnership with Calvin Bassey in building a strong wall against Gabon strikers.

He was included in the Brentford first-team match day squad for the first time in January 2024, named as a substitute for an FA Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers
