Oba Olu Adegoke Adeyemi, the Alara of Aramoko Ekiti is dead.
The monarch died on Friday at the age of 82, leaving a legacy of service, wisdom and dedication to his people.
This was contained in a statement released on Saturday afternoon by the monarch’s family.
According to the family, the late Alara provided strong leadership that fostered community cohesion and development.
The family highlighted the late king’s contributions to cultural preservation, conflict resolution, and youth empowerment.
“He was a leader whose impact “will forever be cherished as a testament to his enduring legacies”.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

- He was born on December 4, 1942
- He attended St. Annes Catholic Primary School, Aramoko-Ekiti
- He attended St. Finbarrs Secondary Modern School, Efon Alaye
- He furthered his education at St. John Teachers Training College, Ibadan, and Ondo/Oyo Joint Provincial College, Ile-Ife, obtaining teaching qualifications
- He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Lagos in 1971.
- He began his career as a teacher before serving as a senior civil servant.
- He was a sole Administrator of the former Ifesowapo Local Government.
- He ascended the throne in 2009 as the 16th Alara of Aramoko-Ekiti, succeeding his father.
