Nollywood power couple, Lateef Adedimeji and Adebimpe Oyebade-Adedimeji, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, have revealed the names of their triplet boys. The Yoruba movie stars also announced plans for a public thanksgiving celebration following their private naming ceremony.
On Thursday, May 7, the Adedimejis held an intimate naming ceremony for their newborns inside their living room, surrounded by close family and friends.
The triplets’ godparents, Ibrahim Yekini and Omowunmi Dada, were present at the ceremony. Actor Jide Awobona, Itele’s wife and a few other people also attended.
Clips from the event captured emotional moments as clerics prayed for the babies. Another video showed Lateef dancing excitedly in a blue outfit, while Mo Bimpe was celebrated with bouquets of flowers and heartfelt praises from a singer.
In a post shared on May 8, Lateef revealed that the boys have been named Rahman, Raheem and Rakeeb. He also disclosed that a thanksgiving party for the public will hold in July, with the official date to be announced soon.
The actor further warned fans against AI-generated baby photos circulating online, stressing that none of the pictures being shared are of their actual children. According to him, the couple will personally reveal their babies’ faces on their verified social media pages when they are ready.
Taking to Instagram in a joint post with his wife, Lateef shared a video of the couple dressed in matching white outfits from the naming ceremony. In the clip, the actor was seen carrying the triplets while Mo Bimpe stood in front of him smiling.
Another touching moment showed the actress seated while holding all three babies in her arms as Lateef stood behind them beaming with joy.
Captioning the video, he wrote:
“Yesterday, we officially named our 3 kings in an intimate circle of love 🤍
Rahman, Raheem, Rakeeb @etawithlove 🤍
July, we’re coming for you with the big celebration! The thanksgiving party will be for everyone to witness God’s goodness! Dates will be announced soon 🙏
We are forever grateful to God and to everyone that came to celebrate with us.
#TripletBlessings #NamingCeremony.”
He added:
“PS: All the cute baby pictures flying around aren’t our babies. Once we’re ready to put out our babies’ faces, best believe you’ll see it on our pages first.
Please don’t take the fake/AI pictures flying around social media platforms seriously. Thank you.”
