It’s a technique built around injectable fillers, not a scalpel, and it’s used to reshape and sharpen the lower part of the face rather than reconstruct it.
The man behind the needle was reportedly Dr Alessandro Alarcão, a dermatologist who, per some reports, flew in from Miami specifically for the appointment. Coverage differs slightly on the details, some outlets have him based in Brazil, others say he travelled in for the job, but the consensus is that the procedure took around two hours and was carried out at a private clinic in Goiânia in central Brazil.
Neither Vinicius nor Real Madrid have confirmed the treatment publicly, and he hasn’t posted his own before-and-after shots. Everything the public has seen so far has come from photos taken around the clinic and from friends and associates who’ve shared images of him since, including a video of him signing shirts for fans that circulated on Instagram.
Why the timing has people talking
Here’s the part that’s fuelling most of the speculation: this happened almost immediately after Brazil’s exit from the World Cup.
