For years, Iyabo Ojo and celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani, popularly known as Tiannah, appeared to have moved on from a friendship that once seemed close.
Then, on September 23, 2026, Iyabo reminded fans that some friendships can survive years of silence. The actress shared photos of herself with Tiannah on Instagram and announced that they had found their way back to each other.
The reunion came more than four years after their friendship publicly fell apart.
For many, the details of that 2022 drama may now be a distant memory. But at the time, it was one of the entertainment industry’s biggest friendship controversies.
And the story did not involve only Iyabo and Tiannah. Chioma Goodhair, who was also part of the RHOLagos circle and is close to Iyabo, had her own fallout with Tiannah.
Now, in 2026, all three women appear to have put those old disagreements behind them.
How Iyabo Ojo And Tiannah Became Friends
Before their fallout, Iyabo and Tiannah were close. Tiannah was not just another celebrity in Iyabo’s circle. She had also worked with the actress as her stylist, making their relationship both personal and professional.
That friendship became part of what made their eventual fallout so striking.
When the first season of The Real Housewives of Lagos premiered on Showmax on April 8, 2022, Iyabo and Tiannah joined Laura Ikeji, Chioma Ikokwu aka Chioma Goodhair, Carolyna Hutchings and Mariam Timmer as the show’s original cast.
The reality show brought several existing friendships and disagreements into the public eye. It was not long before Iyabo found herself at odds with Laura.
The Laura Ikeji Drama That pulled Tiannah Into The Middle
The turning point between Iyabo and Tiannah came during the early episodes of RHOLagos. Iyabo had a disagreement with Laura Ikeji, and Tiannah became involved because of information she allegedly shared with Laura.
In the third episode, Iyabo questioned Laura about why she expected her loyalty and then turned her attention to Tiannah.
Iyabo alleged that Tiannah had told Laura about private conversations between them. According to Iyabo, information from those conversations contributed to Laura becoming angry with her.
In a public Instagram post on April 25, 2022, Iyabo addressed the matter directly.
“Laura, I still wonder what was said to you by Toyin for you to have been so angry to the point of you saying you wanted to slap someone,” she wrote.
She went further, referring to Tiannah as “gbegboru”, a Yoruba word meaning gossip. The post made clear that the issue was no longer simply about Iyabo and Laura. Tiannah had now become part of the conflict.
The Unfollowing That Confirmed The Friendship Was Over
On April 25, 2022, reports emerged that Iyabo and Tiannah had unfollowed each other on Instagram. The move was significant because the two had previously been friends and worked together.
Their social media fallout came days after the episode in which Iyabo brought Tiannah into her dispute with Laura.
Also, on social media Tiannah hinted at their deteriorating friendship when she declared love for Laura Ikeji who was obviously not on good terms with lyabo Ojo.
The celebrity fashion designer also posted that her heart is too beautiful and fragile to hate anyone. She said that in the time she has on earth, she wants to make a lot of people happy, and questioned if that was too much to ask.
For fans watching the show, the unfollowing appeared to confirm that the tension they were seeing on screen had spilled into real life. What had once been a friendship was now a public falling-out.
Tiannah And Chioma Goodhair Had Their Own Battle
While Iyabo and Tiannah’s friendship was breaking down, another relationship within the RHOLagos circle was also becoming tense.
Tiannah and Chioma Goodhair clashed during the show’s first season. Their disagreement eventually reached the reunion, where the tension became even more obvious. A preview of the June 2022 reunion showed the two women exchanging heated words.
Chioma accused Tiannah of being jealous and competitive, while the latter challenged the accusation. The exchange became so heated that Tiannah appeared ready to physically confront Chioma before other cast members intervened.
The conflict became another major friendship rupture from the first season.
Chioma later gave her side of the story in an August 2022 interview with Chude Jideonwo. She insisted that she had never insulted Tiannah’s business.
“At no point did I ever insult Toyin’s business, ever,” Chioma said. She explained that she had repeatedly praised Tiannah’s creativity and talent, adding that she had told her she was “even too good for Nigeria.” The disagreement nevertheless remained part of their history for years.
4 Years Later, The Friendships Begin To Come Full Circle
The reconciliation between Iyabo and Tiannah became public on September 23, 2026. Rather than explaining the details of what happened privately, Iyabo chose to focus on the friendship itself and what the years apart had taught her.
Her message was simple: real friendships can survive difficult periods. The actress wrote:
“Life taught us that real friendships aren’t pertect, they are real. We had our moment apart, but real friendship always finds its way back. @tiannahsplacempire ❤️.”
Tiannah’s response suggested that she felt the same way.
“Glad we found our way back,” she wrote under Iyabo’s post.
The reunion immediately attracted reactions from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom remembered the tension between the two women.
But there was another surprise.
Chioma Goodhair Part Of The Reunion
As fans celebrated Iyabo and Tiannah’s reunion, attention quickly turned to Chioma Goodhair. One fan expressed hope that Chioma and Tiannah would also settle their differences. Iyabo confirmed that they already had.

Chioma then revealed that she was not watching the reunion from the sidelines.
“😂😂 at all we’re on a 3 way call as we speak reminiscing 💫🤭,” she wrote.
She later took to her Instagram Story with a playful question about how to unblock someone she had previously blocked on Instagram after making up with them. She wrote:
“Guys How do you unblock someone you’ve blocked in the past on ig now you’ve made up? 🙈.”
It was a light-hearted ending to a friendship saga that had once been anything but light.
From RHOLagos Drama To Second Chances
The 2022 fallout between Iyabo and Tiannah was born out of the complicated friendships and disagreements that played out during the first season of RHOLagos.
Iyabo’s dispute with Laura brought Tiannah into the middle of the conflict. The accusations about private conversations were followed by Iyabo’s “gbegboru” comment and the public unfollowing between the former friends.
At the same time, Tiannah’s relationship with Chioma also deteriorated, eventually producing one of the most heated moments of the show’s reunion.
Years later, however, the women appear to have chosen a different path.
Iyabo and Tiannah are together again. Tiannah and Chioma have also settled their differences. And Chioma’s revelation about a three-way call suggests the three women are once again able to share memories without the bitterness that once surrounded their relationships.
