The actor’s reported death emerged on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with actress and filmmaker Nkechi Blessing Sunday among those announcing the development.
Nkechi Blessing shared an emotional video on social media confirming the actor’s passing.
Cjay Nwoks had been building a presence in the Nigerian film industry, appearing in a number of Nollywood productions. His listed credits include Godly Escort, Fond of You, Bestbet, 365 Days Couple and Escape From Vows, among other projects.
His death has attracted particular attention because of his connection to an upcoming movie produced by Nkechi Blessing. The actor was reportedly the lead actor in the project, which had been scheduled for release at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
The reported release was subsequently cancelled following news of his death.
