The announcement comes after news of the singer’s reported death, after slumping, circulated on social media earlier on Wednesday.
Amid the rumours, gospel entertainer and comedian Woli Agba had appealed to fans and colleagues not to conclude that Toluwanisings had died.
He wrote, “E joor now! Please hold on. Please don’t conclude. We are trusting God. Please!” He later added, “Hold on.”
However, following the family’s announcement, Woli Agba confirmed the singer’s death in an emotional tribute. He wrote, “SUNSET AT MIDDAY.” He added that the singer was a “VERY UNIQUE VOICE” who had “dropped the microphone and walked off the stage.”
Woli Agba described his death as a painful and heartbreaking loss, adding that Toluwanisings’ voice had brought joy and touched the lives of many. He added:
“Toluwanisings, your departure has left a painful void in the hearts of many. It is difficult to understand, and even more difficult to accept,”
He prayed for comfort for the singer’s wife, family, friends, colleagues and everyone whose life he had touched. See screenshot of Woli Agba’s post below:
His death comes months after he and members of his crew survived a road accident in July 2026. The singer had shared details of the accident at the time, thanking God for preserving their lives after their vehicle reportedly collided with a fully loaded trailer.
Toluwanisings was also married. In September 2026, he celebrated his fifth wedding anniversary with his wife, describing her as his partner, friend, safe place and “greatest blessing.” His second child clocked two-years-old, barely a week ago.
The family is yet to announce funeral arrangements.
