The Governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu has approved the release of N50 million for Hisbah in the state.
The Special Adviser, Media to the Governor, Mallam Yahaya Sarki, disclosed this is in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi, on Wednesday.
Sarki, quoted Babale Umar-Yauri, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), saying:
The release of the fund is in fulfillment of a pledge made by Bagudu at the 20th Anniversary Celebration and Appeal Fund of Kebbi Hisbah.
The gesture s aimed at enhancing the operations of Hisbah in recognition of the immeasurable contributions of the body to social welfare services and fighting societal ills.
