Davido, Atiku, Shehu Sani react to Burna boy, Wizkid’s first Grammy awards

Music star Davido has reacted to the victories of his contemporaries at the 2021 edition of the Recording Academy Awards aka Grammys.

The 28-year-old singer reacted to Burna Boy and Wizkid wins hours after the 63rd edition of the awards ceremony hosted by Trevor Noah on Sunday, March 14, in the United States of America.

“Whichever way you look at it, this is a victory for Nigeria for the culture and for my people! Congrats to our winners! Tule Naija!” Davido tweeted.

The Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has also congratulated Wizkid and Burna boy for winning their first Grammy awards.

Atiku described Wizkid as an epitome of talent that could be found in Nigeria.

In a tweet, Atiku wrote: “Congrats @BurnaBoy! #Grammys

“I am delighted and proud as a Nigerian at Wizkid’s Grammy win. Wizkid is an epitome of the talent that abounds in Nigeria. Congrats @wizkidayo.”

On his part, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani pointed out the significance of Nigerians winning the Grammy awards.

Sani said the victory by Wizkid and Burna boy was an indication that Africa had come of age.

“Congratulations to @burnaboy and @wizkidayo for the #GRAMMYs; Africa has come of age #grammys2021!,” he tweeted.

Recall that Burna boy won the award for the Best Global Music Album ‘Twice as Tall’.
