Lady who benefited $50,000 scholarship from Drake’s music video giveaway bags Masters degree

Destiny Paris James, the lady who received a scholarship from Canadian rapper, Drake in 2018, has revealed that she bagged a Masters degree from the University of North Carolina.

The soon-to-be Master’s degree holder was thrust into limelight after her appearance in Drake’s “God’s Plan” video, where the rapper surprised her with scholarship fund.

In a few days time she would receive her certificate, and to celebrate, Destiny took to social media to share her story.

The 2018 video for Drake’s God’s Plan showed the artiste surprising Destiny and also further presenting her with a cheque of $50,000 to help her complete her education.

Destiny Paris James was doing her undergraduate programme at the time at the University of Miami, UM. She gained admission into UM in 2015 and graduated with a Bachelor of science in Public Health in 2019.

She then proceeded for her Master’s at the University of North Carolina’s Chapel Hill Gillings School where she will be bagging an MSc in Public Health in Health Behavior in 3 days.

Sharing the update on her social media pages, Destiny jumped on the ”How it started vs How its’s Going” trend and posted photos of herself.
