Oluwaseun said she is unaware of what the future holds for her, but she is optimistic because optimism is why she is now Miss South West Nigeria.

Adewole Temidayo from Osun State emerged as the first runner-up and was bestowed with the ‘Miss Heritage South West Nigeria 2021’ title. The ‘Miss Intellectual South West Nigeria 2021’ title was conferred on the second runner-up, Ojo Theresa, a native of Osun state.

MSWN 2019, Oluwapelumi, crowns Oluwaseun

Queen Oluwaseun took over from queen Babajide Oluwapelumi Victoria, a native of Ondo State, after reigning from 2019 to 2021.

Outgoing queen Oluwapelumi, a 21-year-old Corp member, said she was only privileged to have served the people of South West Nigeria for two years due to the COVID-19 Pandemic that put the entire world on lockdown in 2020.

“COVID-19 is why my tenure spanned for two years, but I am grateful it did. It was an opportunity well utilised. I feel fulfilled handling over the crown to another reputable winner. I am sure Queen Oluwaseun will take the journey farther than I did.”

“Being a queen is not just about wearing a crown, it is a challenge to better the life of everyone. I appreciate Jupiter NG, the organisers of Miss South West Nigeria and Heritage Awards, for making my journey hassle-free,” she concluded.
