BBNAIJA: Efe Addresses ‘Blacklist’ Reports, Sends Message To MultiChoice

Big Brother Naija season 2, See Gobe reality television star, and winner, Michael Efe Ejeba, has finally broken silence after some reports made rounds on the internet that he was blacklisted by BBNaija organizers for disrespecting them as he also sends appreciation message to Multichoice them in a Press Statement.

Recall that after the season 6 show finale, on October 3, when season 5 show winner, Laycon and season 4 Pepper Dem star, Avala headlined musical performance, it began flying round that Efe, who is also a music artiste wasn’t shortlisted to perform because of his alleged fallout with MultiChoice.

And one of the rumoured reason Efe was shunned is that he disrespected the show organizers after winning the grand prize in 2017.

On Twitter, one of supporters of Efe cried out on the inhumane treatment being meted on the young man, adding that he had already apologized and should be forgiven.

Whatever Efe did to Multichoice pls they should forgive. When you ppnish a child you use the other hand to drag him closer. I heard he’s apologised and tried to make amends. They can’t continue to shut it out pls,” a fan identified as I’yoba Iyomahan (@LauraofLagos) tweeted.

Replying to @LauraofLagos, media personality, Noble Igwe indirectly revealed what seemed to be issued between Efe and MultiChoice, and he stated, “He sat in the car and asked for Oga to come first before he comes out.”

However, on Monday, October 18, Efe, who doubles as a singer and rap artiste took to his Instagram page to release an official press statement, as he clarifies on the matter.

According to him, it’s somewhat surprising to see people peddling lies and false statements online, which they don’t know about. He added that the report is like a news to him, just as it is, to his supporters.

He then urged the general public and his fans to disregard every publications made concerning this, because he didn’t take the opportunity given to him by MultiChoice, as BBNaija winner, for granted, as it’s a well cherished investment for him.

Efe wrote,

This is to address online publications making rounds about reasons for my noticeable absence from BB Naija events as a winner of the Season 2 edition of the famous reality tv show. It is incumbent on me to set the records right and also account to my fans, supporters and well-wishers.

“I was brought up in a family and society where respect to fellow human beings is highly valued and respect to elders is unquestionable. Unnecessary ego boosting protocols or feeling of too much importance have never been attractive to me, given my humble background.

“Therefore, it is unimaginable for someone to conceive such character from me as a person and create a scenario thatnever existed. Hence, I’m clearly stating that the instance (scenario) asserted that is making rounds in the media and public is false and never happened nor occurred. This is news to me as it is to you.

“Let me take this opportunity to thank Multichoice Nigeria as an organization and her members of staff once again for giving me the platform to showcase my talent as a music artist thus creating vast amounts of opportunities shaping my person and brand today. I don’t take the platform for granted and it is a well cherished investment. I’m immensely grateful and commend your continuous effort in empowering the youths of our great country Nigeria.

“I want to state categorically that I have a cordial relationship with Multichoice Nigeria and we are one family. To my teeming fans and supporters whose expectations would have been for me to perform on the platform/show, it is understandable and I implore you exercise patience as these are organizational prerogatives and I’m confident that in the future we’ll work together. Thank you for your unwavering love
and relentless show of support. God bless.. Efe
