Nollywood mourns again as voice over artiste Davidson ‘Domitilla’ Johnson dies

Just days after the passing of Yoruba actor, Osmond Gbadebo on Monday, May 30th Nollywood has again been thrown into mourning.

Nollywood actor and voice over artiste, Johnson Davidson is dead. Davidson died on June 2 after a long battle with kidney failure and other illnesses.

Davidson, known for works such as Domitilla (Ashewo no be work), Global Excellence (Oga for magazine), and many others, was the brain behind Heavy Metal Studios, an indigenous and globally focused Audio Visuals Company, established in February 2004.

His close friends have taken to social media to mourn him.On the 26th of May, according to a social media post by his colleague and star actress Lilian Bach, Johnson had been battling with stroke since 2016 and the case got compounded with kidney failure.

Bach also informed that his doctors advised on the compelling need for a quick kidney transplant.

In another post, veteran musician Paul Play Dairo revealed that Johnson, “has been on dialysis for over 8 months” and that efforts made by friends and family was beginning to whittle down due to the huge cost.
