Oxlade’s ‘Ku Lol Sa’ cracks the Top 10 however, ‘Bandana’ retains No. 1 spot for the 7th week in Turntable.
Bandana received 71.2 million radio plays (sixth week at No. 1), 4.05 million Nigerian streams (No. 2), and 10.6 million TV impressions (No. 7 on TV); the song is still No. 1 on the combined unofficial airplay list (No. 1 on airplay).
The longest song to hold the top spot in 2022 for seven weeks was “Buga (Lo Lo Lo)” by Kizz Daniel & Tekno. Additionally, as “Bandana” clocks in at number one for a seventh week, Asake & Fireboy DML tie for second place among artists with the most overall weeks at number one in a year.
According to reports made by Pulse, Asake’s “Terminator” remains at No. 2 for one more week; the song climbs to No. 1 on the TV chart with 16.4 million in TV reach and retakes the top place on the streaming chart with 4.21 million streams (second week at No. 1).
For a third week running, Pheelz & Davido’s “Electricity” remains at its No. 3 peak. The song “For My Hand” by Burna Boy and Ed Sheeran, which was previously No. 1, remains at No. 4 for another week.
With 1.71 million streams (No. 7 on streaming), 41.4 million radio plays (No. 7 on radio), and 9.60 million TV views, Ruger’s “Girlfriend” reaches a new peak of No. 5 on the Nigeria Top 100. (No. 9 on TV).
The track peaked at No. 7 on the chart nine weeks prior, the song experienced a significant increase in traffic across all platforms after its prominent performance during the 15th Headies (Sept 4). The song’s absence from Audiomack makes it even more stunning.
There are two songs from Burna Boy at Nos. 6 and 7, “Common Person” at No. 6 and “It’s Plenty” at No. 7. The musician currently holds the longest streak of any artist with at least three songs in the top ten for nine straight weeks.
To round out the top ten this week, Asake’s “Peace Be Unto You” returns at No. 8, Crayon’s “Ijo (Laba Laba)” drops 5–9, while Oxlade’s “Ku Lo Sa – A COLORS SHOW” soars from No. 21 at No. 10 for the first time in the top ten.
