Rapper Magnito drops bombshell, unveils relationship between Most Nigerian Female Artists’ and their Managers

In light of several revelations exposed across all socials by various celebrities, popular rapper, Mohammed Usman Adamu, popularly known and called Magnito, has dropped a bombshell, on the latest episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast.

The bombshell asserted that a prevailing trend in the Nigerian music industry involves the boyfriends of “most successful female artists” serving as their managers.

Magnito suggested that this dynamic is often kept private for reasons best known to them, with artists choosing not to disclose their relationships to the public.

He emphasized the point by saying,

“Most of the successful female artists you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”

The statement sparked diverse reactions on social media, with some agreeing with Magnito’s observation, while others criticized him for making a broad generalization.

On YouTube, one @TheAlkebulanTrust commented in agreement with Magnito’s statement saying;

“That’s super cap Janet Jackson is a prime example and she is the Queen of Pop aka Queen of Rhythm Nation. She is if not the top 3 most successful artists ever”

“He didn’t lie dears, I entered the industry well..saw its emphasis on successful ones o, the others are doing whatever they have to do to get there, the successful ones had one odogwu pull the strings”

He was born in Abuja but moved to Lagos to pursue his dream of being a rapper, despite being a Business Management graduate from the University of Jos, as he was said to have discovered his talent for rap at school.

He is signed to Big E Music, owned by Eddie Winebar in Port-Harcourt. The other artiste on the label is Tkon.
