Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggy, has been reportedly shot in Ogun State.
He was shot under the Sango-Ota bridge while filming a comedy skit with his team on Sunday and was immediately rushed to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos State, where he received initial treatment.
He was later transferred to Duchess Hospital in the Government Residential Area, Ikeja, where he is currently recovering.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, the hospital alerted authorities after a gunshot victim was brought to the facility. Police officers who responded reportedly found the comedian on a stretcher with a gunshot wound to his thigh.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi said the incident occurred in Sango-Ota, which is outside the command’s jurisdiction, but investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command said the incident has not yet been officially reported in the state.
