The leadership of Cattle and Foodstuff dealers under the platform of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AUFCDN) have accepted to end the blockade of food supplies to the south.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the leadership of the union reached the agreement at an ongoing meeting with some governors in Abuja on Wednesday, March 3.
A youth leader of the cattle dealers in Lagos identified as Abdullahi Tom disclosed that Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, is among the leaders who appealed to them to end the industrial action.
Recall that the union embarked on strike following claims of losing their members and properties during the #EndSARS protest and Shasa market chaos.
In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that individuals who obstruct the movement of goods from one part of the country to the other have been warned by the defence headquarters to desist from such acts or face the wrath of the law.
