Gunmen abduct Minister of Women Affair’s niece in Plateau state

A niece to the Minister of Women Affairs identified as Pauline Talen has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the incident occurred at Rantiya Locost, Dapit Karen, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State in the early hours of Monday, March 8.

A family source who spoke to Daily Trust confirmed the incident and stated that the gunmen stormed the house around 5am when residents were still sleeping and whisked the the victim away.

He said the kidnappers didn’t go with the victim’s mother who was staying with her.

The relative further disclosed that the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded N5m naira ransom.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that five members of a kidnap syndicate who allegedly killed their victim after collecting N5m ransom from the victim’s family have been arrested by the Kaduna State Police Command.

This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday, February 24 by the police public relations officer in the state, ASP Mohammed Jalige.

According to the police, the kidnap syndicate had abducted one Alhaji Ahmadu, a Kaduna resident last December
