Bandits demand N50million ransom for release of kidnapped RCCG members

Bandits, who kidnapped eight members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kaduna on their way to Kafanchan are demanding for N50million ransom.

A senior pastor of the church, who confirmed the abduction disclosed this late Friday night.

According to TRIBUNE report, the RCCG cleric, who’s a Special Assistant to the General Overseer said that the eight members were kidnapped from the church bus at about 6:00 p.m while on their way for a church assignment.

“It’s true. It happened around 6:00 p.m. They are asking for N50 million,” he said.

A church source in Kaduna said the that the abducted persons were “adult missionaries, male and female, from Kaduna Province 1 going to Kafanchan for prayer work.”

WITHIN NIGERIA recall that gunmen on Friday abducted no fewer than eight members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna.

It was gathered that the victims were in the church bus travelling for a programme when they were attacked and Kidnapped along Kachia Road, 63 km from Kaduna.
