Afenifere: Yinka Odumakin’s death a big blow

Afenifere, the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group has reacted to the death of its Publicity Secretary, Mr Yinka Odumakin, describing it as devastated and terrible.

According to Afenifere, it is devastated by the death of its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Yinka Odumakin.

The Secretary-General of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Basorun Sehinde Arogbofa, said “It’s a terrible blow. A terrible blow to me as a person because we’ve been so intimate.

“He’s been my right-hand man in Afenifere management. It’s terrible. Yinka should not have gone at this time.

“It’s a terrible blow to Afenifere and Nigeria. We’ve lost a brilliant chap with intelligent and brilliant ideas.

“This is sad, very sad. What a pity. I pity his wife Joe.’’

In a related news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the wife of the Spokesman of pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, who died of COVID-19 complications has called for prayers for her to survive the unexpected death of her husband.

Mrs Joe Okei-Odumakin, who confirmed the late of her husband described the late Odumakin as a part of her that is gone.

She told The PUNCH, that her late husband was recovering on Friday but passed on on Saturday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital isolation centre
