Gunmen abduct medical doctor, nurse in Ogun

A medical doctor identified as Oladunni Odetola and a nurse also identified as Mrs. Bamgbose have been abducted by unidentified gunmen while travelling on Abeokuta-Imeko road, Ogun state on Wednesday night, April 7.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the medical doctor, Odetola who heads the General Hospital in Imeko, headquarters of Imeko-Afon LGA, was traveling with the nurse as at the time of abduction. 

According to report, both the doctor and nurse were ambushed and whisked away by the gunmen at Olubo village.

It was also learnt that their vehicle, a Toyota Camry (Muscle) with registration number, KTU 584 FR, was left in the middle of the road, where it was discovered by the police.

The doctor’s NMA card and a minute of the association’s meeting were also recovered from the scene of the abduction by the police.

The police public relations officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident and further stated that police detectives are currently on the trail of the kidnappers.
