BREAKING: EFCC arrest former Imo gov, Okorocha in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Tuesday arrested the former Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

It was learnt that officials of EFCC stormed the former Governor’s private office at Nkwerre Street in Garki area of Abuja and picked him up shortly after he returned from a trip.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that Okorocha, who represents Imo West in the Senate, is being grilled on Tuesday evening at the agency’s headquarters located in Jabi district of Abuja.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson for the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, said the news was true. “Okorocha has been arrested by our men”, he said.

The commission, however refused to provide details about his arrest.
