Nnamdi Kanu reacts to appointment of new Chief of Army Staff, Yahaya

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya as Nigeria’s new Chief of Army Staff.

Kanu criticised the appointment, stating that the government don’t care only concern about filling every security position with a Fulani man.

The IPOB leader stated this via his Twitter handle after President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief of Army Staff following the death of Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru in the military plane crash that occurred last Friday in Kaduna.

He tweeted; “This is how they roll. Quite frankly, they don’t give a damn. Every security position MUST be occupied by a #Fulani or a #Fulani. ”

“All of you sophisticated morons, grammarians and multi-purpose Efulefus from the South yapping about one Nigeria, your shame is shaming me.”

Yahaya’s appointment was announced on Thursday afternoon in a statement issued by military spokesperson Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu.
