Lagos Police arrest, recover arms, charms from Yoruba nation rally demonstrators

Scores of people, alleged to have participated in the Saturday Oodua Nation rally in the Ojota area of Lagos State have been arrested by the police in the state.

The police also recovered a large collections of charms, arms and ammunition and vehicles from the arrested suspects.

The suspects were as at Saturday evening being held at the state command headquarters in Ikeja.

‌Similarly, the Police denied responsibility in the death of a girl during Saturday’s Yoruba nation rally in Ojota, Lagos.

The police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement, described reports blaming the police for the death as an attempt to create confusion and fears in the minds of the people of Lagos State and the country at large.

“The Command did not fire a single live bullet at Ojota rally today,” the statement said.
