Osun lawmaker decries insecurity, asks FG to tackle poverty and unemployment

Honorable representing Obokun state constituency, Adewumi Adeyemi better known as IREKANDU has called on government at all levels to tackle unemployment and poverty to rescue Nigeria.

This was contained in an Eid-el-Kabir message released by the state lawmaker and made available to media houses on Monday.

The young lawmaker lamented the collapsing state of security architecture in the nation and expressed his worries over the inability of our security forces to guarantee safety of Nigerians.

Hon. Adeyemi stated that unemployment and poverty are the major causes of crimes and every individual either rich, powerful or famous must assist government in tackling these two serious societal issues.

Recalling how a resident of Otan-Ile, an ancient town in Obokun state constituency who is a hunter was shot dead by unknown gunmen in a rescue mission, Hon. Irekandu appealed to security agencies to be proactive and also begged natives and residents to assist them in intelligence gathering.

The young architect also felicitated with Muslim faithfuls especially the good people of Obokun state constituency as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

Hon. Adeyemi asked Muslim faithfuls to pray for Allah’s favour, mercy and grace and remember the country in prayers.
