The Edo State Police command has confirmed the arrest of a Pastor who allegedly tried to kill his wife and members of her family in Benin city, Edo State.
Details surrounding the incident was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Edo state command, Kontongs Bello, during an interview with a News Channel.
The unidentified clergyman was apprehended in Edo State over the alleged attempt to assassinate his wife’s member.
According to the estranged wife of the pastor, he Ex-husband had employed an Assassin to eliminate her and other members of her family.
It was gathered that the middle-aged, estranged wife of the Pastor and two other members of her family could have been killed on Sunday in Benin city.
According to Kontongs Bello, the assassination attempt on the wife’s family failed after the police command got a tip-off from a member of the community.
The Police officer however cautioned members of the public against taking the laws into their hands.
