Tokyo Olympics: Nigerian Athlete, Enoch Adegoke Sets A New Record

Nigerian athlete, Enoch Adegoke has set a new record for himself today after he beats world leader, Trayvon Bromell and Asian record holder, Femi Ogunode in the men’s 100 meters heat.

Enoch Adegoke set a new personal best for himself today after he ran 9.98 seconds at the Olympics Games in Tokyo. He did this in the heat by beating British star athlete, Zharnel Hughes, Asian record holder, Femi Ogunode and the fastest man in the world this year, Trayvon Bromell.

Recall, that United States athlete Trayvon Bromell was one of the favorites to win this race as he is the seventh fastest man of all time and the junior world record holder with a personal best is 9.77 seconds.

After the race today, Enoch Adegoke did not only set a personal best for himself, he became the eleventh Nigerian athlete who ran below 10 seconds joining the likes of Olusoji Fasuba and Divine Oduduru.
