Two commerical banks have been attacked by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on Thursday afternoon in Iree, Boripe Local Government area in Osun state.
WITHIN NIGERIA assembled that the armed robbers who arrived the banks located within the same location around 3:50 pm, were said to have operated for about 15 minutes before leaving the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, the robbers were shooting sporadically into the air while escaping through Iree-Ada road.
Reacting to the sad development, the police public relations officer in the state, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident.
She further disclosed that police have been deployed to the scene.
