Gunmen kidnap APC chairman in Niger

Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped Aminu Bobi, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zone ‘C’ in Mariga local government area of Niger state.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Bobi was abducted on Saturday evening, August 7 while supervising farmhands working for him at his farm. 

It was further learnt that the gunmen who shot sporadically, invaded the farm on six motorcycles with three people on each. 

 

According to Daily Trust report, the APC Zonal Chairman was the only one abducted during the attack.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that a 23-year-old man, Victor Francis, has been arrested by the police allegedly threatening to kidnap a female family member and a owner of the house where he once lived.

Spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, June 25, said the suspect had through anonymous phone call demanded a ransom from the victims failure upon which he threatened to kidnap and kill them.
