Iniubong Umoren: Court adjourns case for accelerated hearing

The Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo has adjourned the case of Uduak Akpan, the suspected murderer of Iniubong Umoren, for accelerated hearing from November, 1,2, 4,10, 11, 15, 16 and five days in December.

Justice Bennett Illamoh, the presiding judge, also struck out the application for bail for the second accused, Frank Akpan, who is the father of Uduak Akpan, the first accused, saying that the application came on summon rather than motion.

In other report, a 31-year-old Wesley Rono has handed his 25-year-old wife to the police for buying a baby after pretending she was pregnant for nine months in Ogilgei area in Kuresoi North Constituency, Nakuru County, Kenya.

Rono, who has been married to Patricia for five years without a child, said he was excited about the pregnancy report only to discover later that she was faking it.
