2021/2022 UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw: Time, Teams To Be Drawn

The group stage draw of the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions league takes place today, August 26, 2021 by 5PM Nigerian time.

The Ceremony will be held in IstanbulTurkey. Michael Essien and Branislav Ivanovic would be Special Guests to assist with the draw.

There are thirty-two teams qualified to participate in the draw, with twenty-six qualifying automatically for the group stage draw with the final six teams decided through play-offs.

The teams to be drawn today cuts across Europe and they are:

ENG: Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea

ESP: Atlético, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Villarreal

ITA: Inter Milan, AC Milan, Atalanta, Juventus

GER: Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund, Wolfsburg

FRA: LOSC, Paris

POR: Sporting CP, Porto, Benfica

NED: Ajax

RUS: Zenit

AUT: Salzburg

BEL: Club Brugge

UKR: Dynamo Kyiv, Shakhtar Donetsk

TUR: Beşiktaş

SUI: Young Boys

SWE: Malmö

MDA: Sheriff

These teams would be separated into four different pots for seeding.

Pot 1 contains the defending Champions of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League winners and the champions of the six highest-ranked nations who did not qualify through one of the 2020/21 titles. The club coefficient rankings would determine the teams to be in Pots 2 to 4.
