I will not stay beyond October, says PDP acting chairman

Acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Yemi Akinwonmi has disclosed that he will lead the party successfully to the national convention proposed to take place in October.

This was made known on Thursday by the acting national chairman, Yemi Akinwonmi during the board of trustees (BoT) meeting at the party headquarters in Abuja.

I am happy today, by evening when they see us in the television, hugging ourselves, laughing and yelling, they will know that PDP is alive. PDP is coming stronger than before. We have closed ranks, we have brought our house together.

“I am a man of peace, I don’t quarrel, I have nothing to hide. I will not stay a day longer even if you asked me to stay. I have accepted the October end of our decision.

“We will soon set the machinery of the convention in motion. We will set the ball rolling to have a brand new officers to run. I am tired, I want to go back to my farm.”
