Soccer Legend, Pele Critically Sick In Hospital

The soccer world is collectively holding its breath amid news that Brazilian soccer legend Pele has been hospitalized.

According to The Athletic via Bleacher Report, Pele has been in the hospital with an “undisclosed health problem” for the last six days. But there appears to be some good news.

According to the report, Pele’s business manager has said that there is no reason to worry. But that’s not going to stop people from making tributes.

In the past year, the soccer world lost two other all-time greats when Argentina’s Diego Maradona and Germany’s Gerd Muller passed away. Losing Pele would hit just as hard – and significantly harder in Brazil.

From 1956 to the mid-1970s, Pele was the most scoring threat in the world. He scored over 500 goals in 493 league matches for Santos in Brazil.
