Qatar 2022: Three Things That Went Wrong As Nigeria Lost To Central African Republic

The Super Eagles of Nigeria lost to Central African Republic by 1-0 in the World cup qualifying match at Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos.

It was a disappointing performance from the Super Eagles from the beginning of the match to the end. Super Eagles head coach Genort Rohr started a strong team with the likes of Victor Osinhmen, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Trust Ekong in the line up.

The Super Eagles are currently leading the group C with 6 points after playing 3 games. Nigeria will be hoping to qualify for the 2022 world cup and their next match will determine if they will qualify or not.

3 Things That Went Wrong As Nigeria Lost To C.A.R.

Wilfred Ndidi, Etebo And Alex Iwobi’s Absence.

Nigeria Super Eagles play below expectations because of the absence of Wilfred Ndidi, Ogenekaro Etebo and Alex Iwobi at the middle of the field. There was no connection between the attack and the midfield throughout the 90 minutes of play.

Lack Of Creative Players In The Team

One of the reasons why the Super Eagles lost is because there was no creative player in the starting line up. Genort Rohr’s selection should be questioned because lack of creative players made the team to play below expectations.

Poor Tactical Approach By The Head Coach.

Lack of tactical plan by the head coach cost Nigeria the defeat. A coach is supposed to have different tactical game plan but Nigeria sticked to the same pattern of play from the beginning of the match till the end.
