Oyetola lifts embargo on annual salary increment, nominal promotions in Osun

Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola has approved the financial effect of one of the multiple promotions already earned by workers in the state with effect from November 1, 2020.

Similarly, Oyetola also lifted the embargo on nominal promotions and conversion forthwith.

This was made known by the state head of service, Olowogboyega Oyebade in Osogbo.

Oyebade added that ” the governor has also graciously approved the lifting of the embargo on annual salary increment effective  January 1, 2021, and the gradual defrayment of outstanding arrears of salaries and pensions with effect from November 1, 2021.

He however maintained that necessary machinery is to be put in place for the conduct of the outstanding 2019 and 2020 nominal promotions.”

According to him, “This development is consequent upon the Agreement reached by both Government and Labour Movement in the State after series of negotiations on minimum wage act in the state.”

“Consequent upon the foregoing, the salary tables to be used henceforth by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) are herewith attached. All accounting officers of MDAs, including local government areas, local council development areas, area offices and administrative units are hereby requested to ensure wide circulation and use of this circular forthwith” he submitted.
