COVID: Nigeria records 61 fresh infections in 9 states, Abuja

As the battle against COVID-19, Nigeria has recorded 61 new cases of the deadly disease in nine states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for November 19.

According to the agency, the states with the fresh infections are Gombe (16), Taraba (15), Zamfara (14), FCT (7), Kano (2), Lagos (2), Rivers (2), while Bauchi, Delta, and Katsina reported one case each.

The NCDC said 47 people were discharged after they recovered from the infection. Meanwhile, no COVID fatality was reported on Thursday.

A total of 213,464 confirmed cases, 206,292 discharges and 2,973 deaths have now been reported across the country.
