Fire guts Nyanya market in Abuja

Fire has engulfed a part of the popular Nyanya market in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The fire incident which occurred on Tuesday happened about three weeks after the the popular Kubwa Village market in Bwari Area Council, was razed down.

Spokesperson of the Federal Fire service, Ugo Huan, who confirmed the incident said that the inferno is under control.

She said, “It is true. We received a distress call and our men went there. Everything is under control.”

The details of the fire incident were still sketchy as of the time of filling this report.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the popular Kubwa Village market in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, was destroyed by fire, killing an unknown number of people on Friday evening, November 5.
