PHOTOS: Iwo Muslims stage solidarity rally in support of embattled royal monarch

Hundreds of Muslims in Iwo, an ancient town in Osun state trooped out enmasse to solidarise with the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi.

This new development came after a press statement by some group of traditionalists under the aegis of Traditional worshippers Association of Osun State.

Recall that traditional worshippers had through their president Mr. Atanda threaten a mass protest for the removal of the Oluwo of Iwoland Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi if he refuse to apologize for all derogatory statement he had made against their gods.

The aggrieved worshippers also gave the Oluwo of Iwoland 21 days ultimatum to tender a public apology.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the rally which took off at Ta’awunu Central Mosque Oke AFO, Iwo witnessed hundreds of muslims matching for the support of the paramount ruler of Iwo kingdom.

Speaking at the rally, Sheikh Dawud Imran Molaasan stated that the 21 days ultimatum given by the Traditional worshippers is fallacious and should be halt.
