Ralf Rangnick to take over as Man United new manager

63-year-old German tactician, Ralf Rangnick is on the verge of being unveiled any moment from now as the new manager at Manchester United till the end of the season following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sack.

Rangnick will work at the club for the rest of the season as the search for a permanent manager continues.

But he once rejected the chance to take over at Chelsea this year because he did not want to be an ‘interim coach’.

He is said to have impressed Manchester United hierarchy during their talks this week and stood out amongst other candidates.

The German gaffer was also approached by the Blues earlier this year after the dismissal of Frank Lampard.

However, he rejected the chance to move to Stamford Bridge, claiming that he would’ve been seen a ‘lame duck’ if he agreed to an interim role.

It was his decision that paved the way for former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss, Thomas Tuchel to move to Chelsea.
