Ogun Poly students hold candlelight procession in honour of late student

AAPOLY STUDENTS HOLD CANDLE LIGHT PROCESSION

Students of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAPOLY), Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, on Tuesday held a candlelight procession in honour of a Business Administration student, Fashina Moyosore, who died on the 24th of November after suffering from a recurring illness.

The candlelight procession started by 6:00pm and kicked off at Polaris Junction.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that Moyosore was ill during the first semester examination and was unable to sit for the examination, she therefore returned back to school to sit for the second semester examination and was unable to write the examination due to her recurring illness. 

She complained of body pains earlier that day and was rushed to the Ijebu Ode General Hospital where she died.

The AAPOLY Student Union President, Talabi John, who spoke to WITHIN NIGERIA, described her death as unfortunate and equally commiserate with the family of the deceased. Talabi said her death is tragic and a big loss to the student community.

“With deep sorrow in my heart, I mourn with the entire student populace of Business Administration on the death of our dear Student, Fashina Khadijat Moyosore. Her death is tragic and unfortunate”

“This is very awful and disheartening and I pray May her gentle soul and the souls of all the faithful departed Rest In Peace” he said

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that this will be the second death recorded in the Polytechnic this month. Last two weeks, a student, Fashina Khadijat, a student of Mass communication, died from childbirth
