Dowen College: Autopsy reveals cause of Sylvester’s death [documents]

Sylvester Oromoni: Bullied to death at Dowen College

An autopsy report has revealed that 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, a pupil of Dowen College, Lekki died from ‘acute lung injury from chemical intoxication in a background of blunt force’.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the deceased’s cousin, Perry Oromoni, has taken to social media to alleged that some senior pupils of the college beat him up in his hostel room for refusing to join a cult.

But the school denied the claim, stating that the boy complained of pain in his legs and hip following an injury he sustained while playing football.

The Lagos State Government had shut down the school indefinitely to ensure thorough investigation.

The autopsy report signed off by one Dr Clement Vhriterhire, revealed that the late student had a scalded upper lip, bruised flanks/back, acute gastric erosion, acute lung injury, cerebral oedema with raised intra-cranial pressure and enlarged liver.
