A Jos Central Area Court sitting in Kasuwan Nama in Plateau State, has dissolved a three-year-old marriage between Adaka Yunana and his wife, Helen, after she eloped with her lover.
A panel of judges, Ghazali Adam and Hyacinth Dolnanan, when granting the request made by Yunana to dissolve the union , on Thursday said all efforts to reconcile both parties had failed.
According to NAN, The judges, however, ordered Yunana and Helen to go their separate way.
He said: ”My wife eloped in 2019, the same year I married her to be with her lover.
”She didn’t call to say why she abandoned her home.”
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that a mother of three, Olamide Lawal, pleaded with a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan to grant her divorce on the grounds that her husband, Saheed Lawal, engaged her with too much sex.
In her petition, Olamide who lives in Ibadan also accused her husband of being a drunk.
