Vincent Aboubakar, the Cameroon captain, is presently leading the race for the Golden Boot at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Aboubakar has four goals in two games, scoring a brace in both games against Burkina Faso and Ethiopia to ensure the hosts’ place in the last-16 with a game to spare.
His team-mate, Karl Toko Ekambi, and Malawi’s Gabadinho Mhango are his closest challengers with two goals each.
The likes of Senegal talisman Sadio Mane, Liverpool team-mate Salah and Ghana veteran Andre Ayew are also off the mark, with a slew of Nigeria players also netting – Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal downed Egypt before Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon all netted against Sudan.
