“ He also expressed gratitude to the Special Adviser on Education to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tokunbo Philip Wahab, and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa for their  efforts geared towards the successful transmutation of the citadel of learning.”

“ While conveying the message of Mr. Governor to the members of staff, he noted that the Governor emphatically stated that no staff will lose his or her job due to the transmutation. He encouraged all staff that the transmutation poses a challenge to be more dutiful as the university status requires more efficiency and proficiency in service delivery .”

Dr. Olaleye who spoke to this reporter however said that newly admitted students will continue with the OND/HND degree, noting that LASUSTECH is yet to roll out admission for new students.

“ The newly admitted students applied for jamb to enter Lagos state Polytechnic, it was the admission process that was prolonged that made us still be doing admission now and the admission is near completion. So they applied to study in Lagos state polytechnic and so shall that be. The Lagos State University of Science and Technology has not placed adverts for admission yet” he said
