Some suspected political thugs on Friday night attacked a bus owned by Osun State Government at Owode-Ede, Osun State, leaving one person injured.
It was learnt that the thugs started chasing the bus along Gbongan/Osogbo road around 9pm.
The bus with registration number 52C-09 OS had the inscription of ‘Ruwesa Osun Govt’.
The thugs caught up with the bus at Palm Crest Junction, Owode-Ede.
They shattered its windscreen and damaged the two sides mirrors as well as the doors.
An eyewitness, said: “The armed thugs were armed with guns, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons.
“The thugs thought politicians were inside the vehicle.”
“The injured driver has been taken to the hospital because he was severely injured.” the source added.
