A 13-year-old boy, Jeffery Ugiagbe, has reportedly died after Ovie Oktogbo, a security guard, raped him in the Ugbowo area of Edo State.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that 43-year-old Oktogbo, was arrested for using N100 to N200 to lure his unsuspecting victims who are children and teenagers between the ages of 10 to 15 years and then have anal sex with them after applying a bleaching cream on both his manhood and the victim’s anus as the case may be, for easy penetration.
Jeffery fell ill with swollen feet, face, and pus all over his body after which medical examination revealed that his liver and kidney were damaged as a result of a certain chemical contained in bleaching creams. Upon further inquiry by the victim’s parents, he confessed that a certain man in the area forced his way and forcibly had carnal knowledge of him. He said it was in that process that he applied the cream in his anus, hence the report to the police.
According to FIJ, the teenager’s family has demanded justice and asked for donations to pay off the debt the family had incurred to pay Ugiagbe’s medical bills.
“I want Ovie Oktogbo sentenced to death, not life imprisonment. Presently, I am in debt. I am owing close to N3million,” the deceased’s father said.
Ugiagbe was said to be Oktogbo’s ninth victim. “I have raped nine boys. The boy lives in my area,” Oktogbo says in a video.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bello Kontong, who confirmed the incident noted that Ugiagbe died on Thursday, and that Oktogbo had been charged to court.
