Lagos police react to reports of baby allegedly abducted by dispatch rider

The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to the report of a yet-to-be-identified dispatch rider who was allegedly found with a baby in his courier box.

The state police spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, in a statement said the command will be investigating reports of the incident which happened in the Sangotedo area, Lekki.

Ajisebutu said the incident was not reported at any police station to enable the police take appropriate actions.

He added that the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has directed that efforts should be intensified to locate the whereabouts of the alleged dispatch rider and the parents or guardians of the child to enable the police to investigate the incident.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that angry mob apprehended a dispatch rider with a baby found in his courier box in the Sangotedo Area of Lagos State.
