Three persons escaped death in an accident that occurred on Gbongan-Ibadan highway in Osun State.

The State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Paul Okpe, who disclosed this in a statement said the accident involving two vehicles occured at about 4:10 a.m. on Saturday around Salam-Salam axis, six kilometres from Sasa Bridge.

“A blue truck KJA794XQ had a head-on collision with a white /red DAF Truck with number plate ABC875ZW, involving three male adults,” Mr Okpe said.

He explained that two of the victims were severely injured and had been taken to Ariremako Hospital, Gbongan.

Mr Okpe said the accident occured due to road obstruction and speed violation.

He, however, warned motorists against dangerous driving, stating the command’s resolve to deal with anyone that violates the road traffic act.
