Police transfer case of late gospel artiste, Osinachi to SCIID

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has transferred the case of late gospel artiste, Osinachi Nwachukwu, to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the 42-year-old artiste died on Friday after spending days at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja.

This publication had also reported that the husband of the late Dunamis Church lead singer, Peter Nwachukwu, has been arrested over the death of his wife.

Some friends and family members of the deceased had claimed that her husband beat her up before she died.

According to PUNCH, a family source familiar with the matter disclosed on Monday that the matter had been moved to the SCIID.

The source said, “The matter has been transferred from the Lugbe Police Station to the SCIID for further investigation. The husband of the late gospel artiste is being detained at the SCIID.”

The FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the development, adding that the case was being treated at the homicide department of the SCIID.
